Adoption Policies and Procedures

*** As of 3/29/26, a donation is requested for each kitten relinquished to Fosterlings.  The donation amount is up to the finder and goes toward the care and feeding of the kittens. ***    

Kittens go home no sooner than twelve weeks old.

All Kittens receive all shots including three FVRCP boosters and rabies, as well as testing, microchip, deworming, and flea treatment before going home.

Our base adoption fee is $150, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit for any kitten adopted before spay or neuter.  Adoption fee covers all shots including at least two FVRCP boosters and rabies as well as FIV and FeLV testing, microchip, deworming, flea treatment and vet exams.

(The spay/neuter deposit is refunded with proof of spay or neuter.  Spay/neuter is the responsibility of the adopter.)

Kittens that are spayed or neutered prior to adoption will have an additional $150 spay/neuter fee added to adoption fee unless sponsored or partially sponsored

All adopters must visit a minimum of three times at my home in Pottstown.

              If multiple people live in the same household all must visit at least once.

Renters must be prepared to show proof (lease or contract) that pets are allowed in rental property.

             All adopters must agree to NOT declaw without valid medical reason. Fosterlings will not declaw any cat or kitten unless deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

All Kittens are housed in my home and the home of a Fosterlings Foster. Address is provided once first visit appointment is set.

Fosterlings exercises the right to refuse adoption for any reason at any time.
